Peak physical condition, even at the age of 47. After all, he's been in the hero business for 27 years.

Clothing: Jeans and a T-shirt (emblazoned with his super-moniker, Kinesis), with bullet-proof, lightweight armour of indeterminate, futuristic material under his shirt and on his shins. He wears a grey mask that covers the top half of his face.

Personality: He's a good guy, but not all "Boy Scout" like Superman. Definitely has a twisted sense of humour, and has been known to crack a joke at the worst of times. Most of the time he's very laid back, as he has great confidence (almost bordering on cockiness) in his fighting skills. When he's met his match, he knows it, but he'll be damned if his match finds out. He is a normal, well-adjusted 47 year old Brit. He avoids drugs and cigarettes, but will have a drink on occassion. Some would see this as an understatement, as he threw the biggest, loudest, most alcoholic party this side of the galaxy when Manchester United won the FA Cup in 2004.

Favorite Song: He usually plays his own soundtrack through his head (and sometimes in the heads of others within his psychic vicinity).

Favorite Color(s): Red.

Miscellaneous: He wears a mask and armour when he fights, and his identity is known to no one, not even his fellow superheroes.


Character Abilities

Weapon Preference: He's a sword expert, and quite adept in the psychic arts.

Handed: Right-handed.

Skills: He has a large array of psychic abilities at his disposal, including, but not limited to the following:

Telekinesis- The ability to move distant objects.

Astral Projection - The ability to allow one's conciousness to leave the body. (This is probably a last resort type of deal for Garrett, similar to Ffej's Destruct move, but it does have advantages outside of emergencies. For example, if Gary needs to see what's on the other side of a building without being seen, he could enter the astral plane, leaving his body behind in a catatonic state, and go see what's over there.)

Pictopsychosis - The ability to create images with one's mind.

Telepathy - The ability to see, hear, or experience the thoughts of others, as well as communicating with them.

ESP (Extra Sensory Perception) - Perception (as in telepathy, clairvoyance, and precognition) that involves awareness of information about events external to the self not gained through the senses and not deducible from previous experience. (Thanks to Merriam-Webster for that one.)

Pyrokinesis - The ability to move fire. (Gary discovered this ability recently, but it is not quite under his control... yet.)

Levitation - The ability to float or fly without the aid of wings.

Armament: A kickass sword.

Protection: Body armour made up of some futuristic, lightweight, bulletproof material (which he found in the cargo hold on Achilles when he first found it in a supervillian's hideout) that covers his chest and is concealed by his shirt. He wears shin-guards underneath of his pants.

Transportation: Gary flies... psychically. Also, he has an aircraft known as the H.M.S. Achilles. The Achilles was the end result of a government project researching anti-gravitational travel. A supervillian stole it, and when Kinesis recovered it, Her Majesty's Royal Navy awarded it to him, along with the rank of knight.

Style: He relies on his psychic powers, mostly. Hand-to-hand combat isn't his thing. Swords are definitely his strong point, and the one he owns is the best around (or so he'd like to think). He'll often leave his sword behind, as it is largely unecessary for crime-fighting. It usually adorns a display case on his ship.



An evil dictator had ruled Europe for quite some time, but didn't pay much attention to the small countryside village of Garrett's origin. But then, after a rural uprising in Russia, the neurotic dictator began scouring the countryside, soon spreading to Gary's small English village. Days before they arrived, Gary had visions of these events. He didn't know what to make of them, until the day that they came true. The army killed every last resident of the town... that is, except for Garrett. He had hidden himself using psychic powers that had only now manifested themselves beyond a few dreams. After he was sure the foot soldiers had gone, Gary left his hiding place. He was a young man, only 16, when he left his home, seeking vengeance, for his village. During his 20th year, he got that vengeance, killing the man who held control over Europe. At the time of Apath's tournament, he lived in a small apartment in London, acting as a superhero there under the name Kinesis, and he is quite well-known as being the man who saved England. Unfortunately, Apath took over, and much of the crime has left. Most days, Kinesis fights for the people, as the oppressive government, which often feels the need to be a bit too strict in their law enforcement.
